Amoclan BID 200mg/5ml is a pediatric oral suspension containing amoxicillin 200mg and clavulanic acid 28.5mg per 5ml, a combination antibiotic for bacterial infections.​

Indications

Treats susceptible infections like otitis media, sinusitis, lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and skin infections in children.​

Dosage

Typically 20-45mg amoxicillin/kg/day divided every 12 hours (BID); e.g., for children 6-12 years, about 10ml twice daily. Adjust by weight and shake well before use.​

Administration

Give orally at the start of meals to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset; use provided syringe for accurate dosing.​

Precautions

Avoid in penicillin allergy or history of cholestatic jaundice with amoxicillin-clavulanate; monitor for diarrhea, rash, or liver issues. Complete full course.​
