Amlozal 10mg tablets contain amlodipine besylate, a calcium channel blocker used to manage high blood pressure and angina.​

Indications

Treats hypertension to reduce risks of stroke, heart attack, or kidney issues; also relieves chronic stable angina or vasospastic (Prinzmetal’s) angina by improving blood flow to the heart.​

Dosage

Adults typically start at 5mg once daily, increasing to 10mg if needed; maximum 10mg/day. Take at the same time daily, with or without food, but avoid grapefruit juice.​

Administration

Swallow tablets whole with water; consistent daily timing aids adherence.​

Precautions

Avoid if allergic to amlodipine or with severe aortic stenosis; monitor for swelling, dizziness, or rapid heartbeat. Use cautiously in liver impairment or elderly patients.
